What I do with broken dishes...

What do you do when you break a dish?

Somehow I lost pictures of the metal pear in it's before state, and the picture of me gluing the crockery on the pear. If you mosaic on metal, use tile mastic.

Does anyone else make mosaics out of their broken dishes?

Go to Kimm's at Reinvented for other Trash to Treasures...:)

  1. This is exactly what I was planning on doing with a dish that was sentimental! This past week my husband broke a bowl that was his mother's (she past away a few years ago) and always served pierogies in this dish! I was so upset when I found it, but figured I would mosaic a photo frame with the dish and put her photo inside! Hope your having a great day, I just love your blog!

  2. Fantastic! I just love that Chrissie!

Do you ever make jewelry out of the pieces? I've seen some cool jewelry pieces from dishes at art shows.

  3. Clever and beautiful. I usually just throw my dish away and feel bad. I love the pear shape!

  4. I just love, love, love your mosaic pear.
I WISH I made mosaics out of my broken crockery! What I actually do is collected broken things with the idea of "doing something with it one day."
Now I'm in the process of ruthlessly cleaning out.

  9. Hello Chrissie - when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Or in this case, pears! Love what you did with the broken pieces. Very clever!
