What you need to do is put your phone in a tupperware filled with uncooked RICE.
Leave it there (preferably near a window, too) for a MINIMUM of 3 days. It helps if you can open the place where you put the battery too . The rice will absorb all the moisture eventually. Since it's just water (meaning, not juice or anuthing, so it's not sticky!), it *should* dry "ok".
I had put my kids' gameboy in the washing machine (it was in my dd's pockets!) and posted about it as my status on facebook. A girl who works for apple says that this is what they recommend when people do this (or drop in the toilet!) to their ipods!
I was going to suggest rice too. My DD dropped her phone in the sink, we put it in rice for a few days and then all was well in the world, other than her mad withdrawal from texting. Hope your phone gets reincarnated
