Ballet Shoes

Ava outgrew her first pair of ballet shoes this week. Of course I wanted to save them, and I thought they would be perfect to showcase in her ballet room.

I found this shadow box for 50 cents at a garage sale. You can see below how dirty and dusty it was. But I cleaned the glass really well and gave the frame a couple of coats of white spray paint.
I bought one of Martha Stewart's 18 x 18 scrapbooking sheets at Michaels for 1.99 and the "girly-girl" sticker for 2.99 (with my 40% off it was only 1.80) So the total price was under $5.

I'll probably end up hanging it somewhere but for now it's sitting on her bookshelf. Very cute and very easy!!

Another project for my little twinkle-toes:)
Go to Rhoda's for more cheap thrills!
