Linky Party

I'm joining the Linky Party over at The Shabby Nest today. I love her blog because she has 4 little kids too, and all her ideas seem so clean and crisp. Today's Party is Conquering Kids Clutter, and there are so many great ideas over there.
You know I couldn't do a post about kids clutter without posting some kid-friendly art, right?

Complete with paper houses and polka dots, of course!

All right, on to the goods. Some of you saw this last year on my old bloggy. But this is how I keep my daughters room organized. They sell these shelves at Target, and they go on sale pretty regularly.

The canvas boxes are very convienent and durable. You can even scrub them with a dish brush and they come clean. She's only 2 1/2 but she can easily pull stuff out of here, and more importantly, clean up!

I labeled them using shrinky-dinks. If I ever do something like this again, I would draw a picture of the item on there. She obviously can't read, but it would help with clean-up.

This is my favorite organizing tool right now. I got it at a thrift store for $2, I think. It hangs in my hall closet, and I put all the kids clothes there at night before school. When they get up in the morning, they go get all their clothes and get dressed. Shoes go on the bottom as well, and when they get home in the afternoon they put their shoes in there right away. They keep their school bags in there as well.
We don't have mud rooms here in Florida, so this is my make-shift mudroom/closet.

Head over to The Shabby Nest for some great ideas, and I'll see you tomorrow with some new art!

Girl, you're a classy organizer. LOVE the perfect fitting bins for your cubby. I also think the days of the week clothes hanger is great. My 3 year old needs her clothes rationed or I'll be doing her laundry daily!

The tags are too cute! That is how you take something generic and make it unique!

okay, I have those drawers from Target, without the labels...I like yours and you have motivated me to get mine done! Also, I have that hanging organizer still in a box in my garage! I like the way you use it! Thanks for the ideas!

Love the art! I've wanted to get some of those canvas boxes from target - looks like they work great. I checked out your previous post. I can totally get lost for hours looking at all of the wonderful, original artwork on Etsy. If I had a couple extra thousand dollars, I WOULD buy art. AND, I just happened to be admiring that very same PB quilt yesterday. Anthropologie has some that I am betting you would probably like as well.

Very pretty room. Any reason to do shrinky dinks is a plus! :)

I think I need to go check out our Target. I love that organizer with all the canvas bins!

Where did you find the shrinky dinks? I haven't looked for it in years...I didn't think they still made it.
