Tutorial-Teachers Gift

Michaels has a great new collection of wooden cut outs that are totally ready for embellishing. One of their collections are these cute boxes. They have them in hearts, houses, butterflies, and guitars. Logan's teacher is a great guitar player, so we bought one of these and embellished it for his teachers birthday. This is a great project to do with your child. Logan picked out all the paper and what he wanted on the guitar. I think it makes a great teacher's gift, but it could really be for anyone!

We used the 50% off coupon in Sunday's paper and bought the small pack of pencils. We already had all the craft supplies, so this project only cost about $3.50.

If you make one of these, I would love to see your take on it!

ooh! we saw these recently too! My sister, mom and I were out shopping together. both my sister and I bought the flat hearts and birds. We were messin' around "playing" the giant guitar! I haven't done anything with my shapes yet, but it looks like Laura used a bird on one of her recent projects on our blog. My mom bought the little girls and boys and used them in her preschool classroom - the kids made "friends" for the theme "friends around the world" and got to put construction paper clothes on them. thanks for your comment, I'm going to add you to our blog!
