My Kitchen Revealed

This project took me three months. I had to take all the cabinets off (obviously), but I only did one section at a time.
I lightly sanded the doors and bases, cleaned them well, did two coats of primer, and then painted them with 2-3 coats of white kitchen paint. I soaked all the handles and hardware, gave them a good scrubbing, and then painted them with black spray paint.
I do LOVE the white cabinets and I'm so happy with how they turned out. I have already cut backerboard for the backsplash and have started on the stained glass mosaic, which I'm excited about.

However, the turquoise color on the wall isn't exactly what I envisioned. It's way brighter than I wanted. I know I can always paint over it, but I was hoping I would get used to it.
Tell me the truth (it won't hurt my feelings). What do you think of the turquoise paint?

Oh, and just in case you're wondering, I spent less than $100 on everything. I would love a brand new $20.000 kitchen makeover, but this will do. :)

I think it's beautiful! Don't judge the color yet...wait until the backsplash is done.

I think it looks great!! I like the look of the turquoise, but it is one of my favorite colors!!

Live with it for awhile and see how you like it. Add bits of that color in accessories in the eating space and living room to tie it all together.

You did a fantastic job!!

I LOVE the color! I can hardly wait to see the wrap-around tile mosaic. It would be cool to let each of the kids decorate a single tile and incorporate them through the backsplash. I think you will learn to like the color. It is just such a big change. Pretty soon, you won't notice it at all. Love you, Chrissie!

I LOVE it too :) Like you said, you can always repaint, but I'd hold off just til you hold up parts of the backsplash and see what you think :) I think it will tone the color down some because you will be drawn to it and not just the color :) Such an awesome job!!

i'm so jealous that you painted your cabinets white! i want mine white but my husband doesn't want the project mess, etc and worry that it won't look PERFECT! Your's look fantastic and I love the black hardware. The paint color is so pretty against the white. I think once you do the mosaic it will come together. I do think adding some more accessories to bring out your colors would be helpful as well. You are so talented, I am sure it will be gorgeous! :)

Thank you for helping me show hubby how cool turquoise can be!
