Good finds from Goodwill...

I have been dragging through the weekend with a nasty head cold. You know the kind that makes you feel like you have a brick sitting in your sinus cavity? Yeah, lots of fun...
But I did manage to get to Goodwill on Friday morning. Wanna see what I found?
This metal heart was 99 cents. You know I have a "thing" for hearts with wings. Here's the before:
I just modge-podged some scrapbooking paper on it, printed out the words on my computer, and used crackle over the words.

I found this frame for 99 cents too. I love it! I may spray paint it later, but for now, I like it. The poem inside was my Dad's. He had in a old brown outdated frame with a navy matte, and it ended up fitting perfectly in here.
I used them both to add to this little wall that leads into our garage.

I didn't get this thrifting, but I thought you might want to see a close-up of it anyway. It's got some of my favorite pictures. It's a collage of me VERY pregnant with #2, and then right after his birth. So sweet... The letters are from a scrapbooking kit I had.
I have already promised Ava we will make her a Strawberry Shortcake costume for Halloween, but this Cinderella dress-up gown was only $3.99! It's brand new. She's going to a "tea party" for her little friends birthday in a couple of weeks, so she wants to wear it there.

Last but not least, I found this quilt rack. I've been wanting one of these for a long time. I don't know exactly how I will refurbish it though. I'm thinking white distressed...but I'm not sure. I would love some suggestions if you have any~
This little rock is part of the vignette I showed you above. I leave it in the metal hand. Mike bought it for me when we were on vacation in Philly, and I just love it.
I'm linking up today to Between Naps on the Porch. I've never participated in her linky party before, so welcome! Love her blog!

Ok, I'm going to lay my poor stuffy head back down. Happy Sunday!

Chrissie - I hope you're feeling better soon. I love seeing the good deals that others find... looks like you made some great ones. Also, really like the wall vignette and your pregnancy pictures... very special moments.

Ewwww....great finds!

May I suggest a great product that helped me kick my head cold I had last week?
It is called Emergen-C IMMUNE+ System Booster. It is in a little shot bottle. You drink the whole bottle. You can even drink 2 a day if you are really bad off. Won't hurt you! I was better in no time flat! I went ahead and bought a weeks supply. Figured with all the sick kiddos I encounter at school everyday it might help me stay well.
HUGS! Hope you are up and running soon.

You found some great stuff.....like the redo on the heart.
I would paint the quilt rack white. But it may depend on what color quilts you are going to display on it. Look forward to seeing the finished project.

I love all these great things you've shared. I can't wait to see what you do with the quilt rack. I love the metal heart redo. The wall vignette looks great. I love that poem you have from your dad. It is my mom's favorite, too.
