Update

I've been advised by all my bloggy friends that the iphone may be saved.
Here he is laying in his "rice" bed by the window. Two more days and I'll plug him back in. I'll let you know if it worked.
Due to our Dave Ramsey diet, I have decided I won't be purchasing a new iphone. I have to tell you the truth...this is not my first iphone. I bought my first one a couple of years ago, and I left it in a place where one of the kids had access to it, where it was dropped and the screen cracked. After living with that for about 6 months, my husband bought me a new one. So this second one should have been put in a safer spot too. If it can't be resurrected, I'm going with a cheapy for awhile.
Spending another $300 when we are committed to paying off all debt feels very irresponsible to me.
So I'll let you know if the "rice" bed works!:) I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I've still got this funky head cold going on...it has pretty much zapped me of all creative energy. The coughing has made my back and ribs really sore...so yesterday I pretty much laid in bed all day and rested.
I have started quilting the quilt, but the tutorial is not ready for the week. As soon as I can get back to it, I will.
So the highlight so far of my week? Watching my all-time favorite childhood movie with kids, and them actually really enjoying it. I was in second grade when this movie came out, and I played my cassette tape soundtrack over and over and over...I still know all the words!
Thanks for all your well-wishes friends.
I hope to feel all better soon:)
Happy Wednesday!
xo,
Chrissie

Goodness Sweetie, what a week, huh? I dropped my blackberry in a cup of hot tea about 5 years ago. I was heartbroken ... called them and they sent me a new one. However, by the time it got to my house, the other one had dried out and was working just fine. YEAH! Mercury (the communication planet) is retrograde (orbiting other than directly) which is why all of our computers are wigging out, and our phones and etc., etc. Just hang in there ... October will be MUCH better! That's my story ... I'm sticking to it. Meanwhile, enjoy snuggling with the kiddos whilst watching FINE art entertainment. It's good for the soul. xoxo Call me if I can help you out, ok?

I'm so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well and that your phone is broken. I hope that you are able to revive it.

I have gotten so behind on the quilt. Many things happening to put me behind. Some good some not.

I sure hope the rice works (for your sake) and I know we're all anxious to hear if it does.

Hopefully you are feeling better soon and that phone dries out to it's pre-accident self.

I love watching my old favorite movies with my kids (9 & 6). It sure beats a lot of the new garbage they put out. A few of their favorites are The Parent Trap, Swiss Family Robinson, and the original Freaky Friday. We also recently discovered one called Candleshoe that was one of Jodie Foster's first films and it's pretty good.
