November 1st

I love this time of the year.
November brings me to a deep sense of gratitude...
I'm so thankful for all that we have...
and I believe this time of introspection prepares our hearts for the gifts that Christmas brings...

I created this Autumn tree as a beautiful reminder to give thanks everyday...

I had to add my Sara Mincy print in the vignette as well.
Sara was one of my first blogging buddies and we traded prints 2 or 3 years ago?
I'd like to search for a nicer frame for it, but I always put it out in November.

We celebrated Halloween last night with a big lasagna dinner with extended family, and a fun time trick-or-treating.

That's Logan there with his best buddy.
Notice anything about his arm?
Yes, he spent Halloween morning at the orthopedic office getting a bright orange cast.
He broke his arm Sunday night riding his dang rip-stick.
I tell you, there's never a dull moment around here!

I've been inspired by new friend Becky to try something new for the month of November.
Every blog post Becky makes a list at the bottom for things that she is thankful for.
I'm going to do it too for the whole month of November...

1.  a safe and fun Halloween for my kids
2.  The opportunity to substitute in my children's elementary school
3.  a washer and dryer that serve me well, every day!
4.  Amazing teachers that care about my children and their education
5.  medical and dental insurance

Have a blessed day, Friends!

such a great idea! I think I need to edit my post for today!

LOVE your prints.

Hopefully your son will heal quickly and fully. Doesn't look like it slowed him down though! :o)
