It was a lovely weekend and a perfect party for our new three year old. The day started out with her ballet class.
Ava wanted to make the cupcakes. She stirred the batter, spread the icing, and put the sprinkles on. She was so proud!
I found these cute wooden cut outs at Michael's for 15 cents a piece. The kids had a great time painting them, but I think their favorite part was playing freeze dance and limbo. Who would've thought?
Thanks for looking at her party. She told me last night, "Momma, when I'm 4, I want a ballerina party..." Hmmm...good thing we've got a whole year to plan!:)

Happy Birthday! What a wonderful celebration of sweetness! Such a cutie pie! Lori
Oh Chrissie, she's so cute and what a sweet Momma you are to go all out like that. I laughed about the freeze dance and limbo. My daughter went all out when my 6 year old granddaughter turned one (like any first-time mother would) and all she cared about was one balloon! Hope you had a great weekend!
Looks like she had a wonderful day.
Don't you love keeping it 'simple' and having a good old fashioned B'day party at home instead at all of those over priced indoor amusement places ?
The dress looks great on her.
What is freeze dance? My twins turn 7 soon and I wish they were girls so I could totally do what you did! I agree with the gal who said it is so much nicer than the "amusement place" parties. Very charming!
Heidi,
Freeze dance is when you play some music and the kids dance. When you pause the music they have to FREEZE. If one of them moves, they are out. Then you play the music again until there is only one person left.
They loved it!

Hi Chrissie. Very cute party, looks fun too. I didn't see terrific mother in your etsy shop when I went to order. I wanted marriage and mother... I'll order when I see it pop up.
How fun! Isn't planning a little girls party the best? I can't wait until fall every year because I get to plan 2! Your baby is lovely. What a wonderful party it must have been!
