No-Sew Posie Tutorial

Remember last week I told you I would do a tutorial on the posie brooches? I love these because it's a great way to use up your really cute fabric scraps. There are so many cute posie brooches out there in blogland. Here is my version. There is no sewing involved. If you can operate an iron and a hot-glue gun then this project is for you!:)

Step 1: Trace 5 circles on paper and cut them out. This is your template. Pick out 5 different fabrics.

Step 2: Iron your material onto some medium to heavy weight interfacing. This gives the brooch some sturdiness and makes the circles much easier to cut.

Step 3: Trace your circle templates on the interfacing and then cut all the circles out.

Step 4: Very lightly hot glue each piece together. Add an embellishment on top, like a button, brad, or stone.

Step 5: Use hot glue to put a wooden circle and pin back on. The wooden circle isn't necessary, I just think it solidifies the whole piece.
That's it...you're done!
See, aren't they easy? I dare you to make only one. Once you get started, it's hard to stop!
They make great gifts as well.

Let me know if you make any, I would love to see them!:)
